Another goodie - Do you have a method or a questioning framework that you apply to all coaching challenges or have you „just“ learned to listen well?

My questioning always starts with an observation. "Hey Jill, I noticed you getting upset with yourself after that penalty corner. You wanna talk about it?

Jill will start talking about how she feels. Like most of her teammates, Jill is her harshest critic. I listen closely to what her inner coach is telling her, and I steer her toward what she would like her inner coach to say.

But the first question gives me a way in on Jill's terms... not mine.
