“The bitterest tears shed over graves are for words left unsaid and deeds left undone.” — Harriet Beecher Stowe
I fear a life of regret more than anything.
I imagine Hell must be paved with it. After all, what is the result of good intentions gone bad? Nothing tears at the soul more than regret.
A soul mourns what it yearns for but cannot achieve.
Everyone has dreams, but many fail to take the first step toward them. The time is never right. Conditions are never perfect. The fear of failure generates constant friction.
Dreams are the soul’s deepest desire... each one wrapped lovingly in meaning.
Our ability to reach for them largely determines our happiness. From early childhood, our souls shine bright with the promise of dreams. Our creativity builds entire worlds within them. Our curiosity scouts the edges of possibility.
Must we wait for permission to act?
Must we forsake our own for those of others?
Must we wait for the perfect time and conditions?
We are but shadows of ourselves while living in opposition to our dreams. The soul withers like grass yielding to winter. The regret of not starting is far worse than falling short.
So start today. Make haste.
Fight for what the soul desires. Manifest dreams not just in the mind, but in reality. For there is no guarantee of tomorrow. We only have this moment. Even one step in the right direction lessens the pain of regret.
Don’t cry out at what might have been.
Celebrate what is made real.
🤔 Food for Thought:
What do you dream of doing in life?
Have you taken the first step toward your dreams?
If not, what is holding you back? The time and conditions will never be perfect.
⚙️ One Small Step:
Consider your loftiest dream. If it doesn’t seem far-fetched, then dig deeper to find it. When you do, consider one small step in that direction. It should be manageable... even easy. Now take that step!
