“The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.” — Les Brown
Are your dreams destined for the graveyard, because you failed to act?
The regret you now feel is the weighty burial shroud of those dreams. You know... the ones clawing incessantly to get out. The ones reaching for the light of day... begging to be released into the world before you transcend to another and leave them behind.
The land of unfulfilled hopes and dreams stretches farther than the eye can see... a sweeping testament to inaction. Countless souls precede you, and countless more will succeed you. The leavings are breathtaking in scope.
Must your dreams be destined for this fate?
When dreams are made real, they take on a life of their own. You send them out into the world like baby birds taking flight. Each one is a little wobbly at first. Your heart rises and falls with each flap of the wing. But soon enough, these little birds even out and grow more certain of their ability to fly.
When you leave this world, every creation you released is now part of it. Each one lives on... a testament to action with your unique signature. Little echos of you ripple here and there... small pieces of you providing some measure of immortality.
Fear must not prevent you from beginning. And fear must not prevent you from continuing. The dreams inside of you call out for release. Can you hear them? Do not deny them. And do not deny yourself the joy of such release.
🤔 Food for Thought:
What do your creations mean to you?
Are you clingy with them?
Or do you set them free?
