“We have no limits to our world. We’re only limited by our imagination.” ― Bob Ross
Perception distorts reality.
It determines to a large extent what is possible. At this very moment you are limiting what is possible. You are accepting what the world expects of you.
It is time to open your eyes and see the truth. You live in a world without limits... a blank canvas upon which dreams are painted into reality.
Start painting without delay with the following actions...
Recognize your own value.
To create is your natural state. Curiosity nudges. Imagination expands. Fear is strangely attractive. Your mind works ideas like a potter works clay. It has many gifts to share... unique gifts only it can bring into the world.
Understand the creator mind.
You are taught to recoil from fear and its offspring: procrastination, impostor syndrome, perfectionism and the like. But you must embrace them as The Way. Without the friction of their companionship, there can be no growth.
Rebel against the conformity of the masses.
To be realistic is to settle for mediocrity. So be decidedly unrealistic. Explore the limits of what is possible. Unearth the unimaginable. Carve a new path forward. You will succeed where others dare not tread.
Join a scene of fellow thinkers and mad scientists.
You are vulnerable alone. There is no need to live a creative life of subsistence. Settle into the warm and protective embrace of fellow creators. Make a scene together. One that will be remembered.
Pursue unbounded creativity.
Your beautiful mind yearns to live unencumbered. Carve out a space to create without limits. Ward this space from structure, expectations and judgment. And in this space, create for the pure joy it brings.
🤔 Food for Thought:
How is your perception of the world limiting you as a creator?
What would you create in a world without limits?
When will you put brush to canvas?
⚙️ One Small Step:
If you can’t find a scene, make one. Start a commotion by espousing the very characteristics you want such a scene to have. Create long enough this way and you will attract attention. You need not find fellow travelers. They will find you.
